Patient satisfaction is more than a buzz word, it is a requirement.  Not just in any business, but in the business of medicine too.  Physician compensation models are being revamped across the country to add quality measurements that include factoring in the patient’s experience.

Some physicians have moved to a concierge approach to practicing medicine.  Others are moving to a subscription based model.  Do you need a subscription for your prescription?  Well, that depends.  A subscription based model is similar to a direct pay (or fee for service) format.  In some instances, patients pay a monthly fee for access to their physician.

The subscription based model is being praised by some doctors for allowing them to reduce their paper work, delays in accounts receivables, and improve their relationships with their patients.  Physician satisfaction, I guess there is a subscription for that.
